PDRA – Data, Scale and ABM of Innovation Diffusion at the Water Energy Food nexus @ Cranfield University

Full time vacancy.
Collaborative trans-disciplinary project with multiple university partners including Manchester (leading the project), Surrey, Strathclyde.
The context is modeling the scaling up of low-impact innovations at the Water, Energy, Food Nexus (showing ways of addressing Nexus challenges).
Tasks will include: data identification, data analysis, literature review, identification of existing models, conceptual design of model, development of model, model performance improvement , analysis of results and validation against case study outcomes, making the model accessible and useful.

Skills/Qualifications:

  • Applied mathematical skills
  • Agent based modeling experience
  • Excellent writing and numerical skills
  • Infrastructure knowledge (water preferably, energy otherwise)
  • Innovation knowledge (optional)
  • Interest in data and scale
